Four Berliners in the fight against turbo-capitalism. A hopeless struggle - but after all, there's nothing good except: you do it. Frank, Kurt, Josef and Hart - the four men around forty have not exactly been spoiled by life. What remains of their lofty goals (from acting star to university professor) is pure Hartz IV pragmatism. But when they learn that the Swabian investor Dr. Siebold wants to tear down their former kindergarten in Prenzlauer Berg and build luxury townhouses on the site, the fighting spirit in them awakens once again. With the courage of the desperate, they set to work - and initially fail all along the line. None of their plans succeeds - but all in all they lead to a happy end.
